Olabisi Bello is a senior chemical engineering major from Oyo state, Nigeria studying at the illustrious Howard University. At Howard, she conducts research in the Biofilm Engineering and Drug Discovery Lab as part of the DOW Scholars Undergraduate Research Experience, and she currently serves as the Executive President of the College of Engineering and Architecture Student Council. She is also a member of the Tau Beta Pi national engineering honor society.
In 2021, she interned at Merck & Co. as a Continuous Improvement Intern and in 2022, she interned at Eli Lilly and Company in their Synthetic Molecule Design and Development group. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, particularly focused on natural product synthesis, and is excited for a future career in the pharmaceutical industry.
